Native Plant Overstock Sale
Big thanks to everyone who came out the the Cooper Young Farmers Market for our Native Plant Sale! A lot of plants found new homes and we are grateful that so many people are interested in supporting bees, birds, butterflies and other critters with native plants, and that y’all chose to buy those plants from us. I still have a lot of plants left over, so we are having a pop up Native Plant Overstock Sale on Sunday May 17th from 10am to 4pm here at Tubby Creek Farm in Ashland, Mississippi.

Monday was Katherine’s last day working on the farm. We sure are happy to have had her as part of our team since 2024. Katherine has taken a full time position at the Memphis Botanic Garden. I hope they know how lucky they are! We wish her all the best in her new position.
We are Hiring for our Field Team!
With Katherine gone and summer not far away, things are getting awfully busy around here. We could sure use another set of hands to help with the planting, tending, and harvesting of our vegetable crops. That’s right, we are hiring! Hours are weekdays from 7am to 12pm or 2pm in Ashland, Mississippi. If you know anyone who may be interested, they can contact randy@tubbycreekfarm.com for more information
Culinary Arts Class Visited the Farm today
Thirteen students from Corinth High School came out to visit the farm today and harvest some fresh, seasonal vegetables for a meal they are each preparing as part of their coursework. Farmer Josephine gave them a tour and helped them pick their own ingredients . How wonderful that these students are learning not just about how to prepare food, but also learning about where it comes from, what it takes to produce it, and learning about eating with the seasons.
