This week we are debuting our new farm store! You can go to tubbycreekfarm.com and order produce, goat meat and honey for delivery to your home, pick up here at the farm, or pick up at the Cooper Young Community farmers market. The store is open each week from noon Tuesday to 6 am Friday for deliveries and pick up on Saturday. Even if you have purchased from our old online store, you will need to make a new user account when you go to the new store for the first time. We will still be selling at the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market as well.
Things are quiet on the farm. The CSA is over for the year and now it is just me, Cooper and Randy on the farm each day. And the animals, of course. Maggie and Winston, our two livestock guardian dogs, Frank and Georgia, the dogs of leisure, about 20 goats, fifty hens, and sixty two week old chicks, and an assortment of barn cats. So it’s not really just us, and it’s not really that quiet.
We are looking forward to a quiet Thanksgiving. Patrick and Marie will be joining us for a picnic. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is a celebration of the harvest, after all, and a showcase of local abundance. And I love to cook. And eat. I also love to eat. It is hard to sacrifice time that might be spent with our friends and family if not for COVID. But we still have so much to be thankful for, and we will look forward to time we will spend with our larger circle of friends and family in the future.
