New for 2023: Winter CSA

New for 2023: Winter CSA

We are trying something new!  We are piloting a Winter CSA share for the months of January and February.  There is a lot you can grow in the winter in Mississippi, especially with protected culture in the high tunnels.  The CSA will also feature winter storage vegetables.  Here is what we hope to include:

Beets – Broccoli – Brussels Sprouts – Cabbage – Carrots – Celery – Chard – Collards – Daikon Radish – Fennel – Hakurei Turnips – Head Lettuce – Kale – Komatsuna – Rutabaga – Spinach – Sweet Potatoes – Tatsoi

Because this is brand new and we don’t really know what to expect, we are limiting this to 20 shares, one size only ($20 a week), and Saturday pick-up at Tubby Creek Farm or at the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market.

The plan is for the first Winter CSA to be available for pick up Saturday January 7 with the final share on February 25th. The CSA will be available as a subscription service. When you order the Winter CSA you will be charged $20. This covers the first week’s CSA. Then starting the Wednesday before each CSA your card will automatically be charges $20.  This will give us the flexibility to cancel charges before Wednesday for any week we might need to cancel the CSA due to the weather or other issues.

  • Is the winter 2023 available as when I click on the link, it states no product chosen? I would be picking up at your farm.
